One website claims: "We are indeed experiencing the greatest wave of extinction since the
disappearance of the dinosaurs." But there are even bigger problems than that. All the spieces around the world are begining to dissapear! Every hour about 3 spieces are lost and after 24 hours, 150 spieces are lost. Even scientist are begining to say that when 3 spieces are lost every hour, then 72 spieces are lost a day. Nobody knows where, how and why are the spieces dissapearing. And nobody knows how many spieces are in the world. "Current estimates of the number of species can vary from, let's say, two
million species to over 30 or even 100 million species," says Dr Braulio Dias. Some people are trying to save all the animals. They saved some dolphins and a south eastern China Tiger. The other animals? They were not very lucky.
My thoughts about this story was that I really became sad when I noticed that spieces are beginning to dissapear. I really like all the spieces in the world ( well, not all of them) but I even wish I knew the truth why the spieces are dissapearing. But I hope that there will be a day when the spieces will stop dissapearing.
